Dismissal Options
Certain charges are eligible to be dismissed completely or for a small fee.

 

Expired Driver's License
Expired driver's license offenses may be dismissed if remedied within 20 working days of date of the offense and the $20 administrative fee is paid.


Failure to display Driver's License
The failure to display a driver’s license offense may be dismissed if evidence is presented of a driver's license valid at the time of the offense and the $10 administrative fee is paid.

 

Failure to Report Change of Address or Name on Driver's License
The failure to report change of address or name on driver's license offense may be dismissed if evidence is presented that it has been remedied no later than the 20th working day after the date of the offense and the $20 administrative fee is paid.

 

Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility (No Insurance)
Offenses for proof of financial responsibility may be dismissed for no charge if evidence is presented of insurance valid at the time of the offense and the court is able to verify the coverage. 


Registration
The court may dismiss an expired vehicle registration charge if the defect is remedied within 20 working days of the date of the offense, all late registration fees were paid to the county, and the $20 administrative fee is paid.


Inspection
The court may dismiss an expired vehicle inspection charge if the defect is remedied within 20 days of the citation and the $20 administrative fee is paid.
